My name is Russell Mascieri and I am a real time trader of the stock market. I invite you to read what I consider to be some of the most important things I have learned to be effective, from over 20 years of trading markets. My experience includes a stint as a federally registered Commodity Trading Advisor in the 1980's where I independently traded millions of dollars of clients money, mostly working for the Private Clients Group of Prudential Bache.

While also pursuing other business interests, my fascination with the challenges of the markets has always been a part of me. During the 1990's making money in the stock market was easy – it was hard to find something that did not work, just buy and hang on for the ride. But during the bear market of 2000-2002 I was busy with the challenge of reworking the futures trading methods I used, to be able to successfully trade the stock market. Although stocks and futures have a lot of similarities, they have some profound differences, which I hope to discuss in some depth in a future article on the educational part of this site. Suffice it to say, trading stocks is generally easier than trading leveraged contracts, like futures or options, as generally it is much easier to control risk.

I invite you to take a tour of the website. There is a lot of meaningful and important information here – information that you probably never knew. Insights you never considered. If you come away with just one thing – always think risk/reward. Besides trading stocks, it's a valuable concept for so many aspects of life.
